In case we haven’t met.
My name is Ashley and I am the Coach and co-creator of Abundant Life Coaching. I help Christian women get connected to God and themselves so they can find healing and freedom from toxic emotional cycles and destructive behaviors that keep them from experiencing the Abundant Life Christ has for them.
I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. He saved and transformed my life and has been the source of my own healing and victory. He is the driving force behind the creation of ALC and is the reason why I do what I do. I share more about that in my “What is Abundant Life” Blog, so you can check that out!
I am also a wife and mother. My husband Tim and I have a blended family of three adult children and four young kids who keep us on the move! We also have 3 dogs who I also consider my kids :)
I have my own personal testimony, a life where I can truly say what was meant for evil, God has used for His good and His glory.
Depression, anxiety, addiction, emotional rollercoasters, and very low self-worth were constant themes in my life from my early teens. As a result of life’s challenges, I struggled terribly with my emotions, found myself in many emotional meltdowns, felt like something was ‘wrong' with me’ because I struggled so bad and couldn’t see God’s purpose or direction for my life. But my story didn’t end there. God ‘drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.’ (Psalm 40:20)
In addition to my personal experience, I have been an educator and advocate of mental health and addiction for over 17 years. I have a B.A. in Business Administration, am a Board-Certified Mental Health Coach and Professional Life Coach with the American Association of Christian Counselors, am certified in Trauma-Informed Care from the University of Indiana School of Public Health, and am a Mental Health First Aid facilitator.

Coahcing is NOT counseling.
Counseling involves the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders. Coaching does not diagnose or clinically treat mental illness. While therapy is often focused on the past, coaching is future-focused. Coaching does acknowledge the individual's past, however, it focuses mainly on the client’s potential. Coaching partners with individuals to establish goals, implement strategies to accomplish them and empowers individuals to reach their full potential.
